Spanish Club

Besides being able to use the language when travelling abroad, learning a foreign language can have many other benefits:

• Improves memory and listening skills.
• Boosts problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Enhances concentration and ability to multitask.

A young child will learn the language faster, retain it better and most often speak it with near-native pronunciation. Academically, children who have learnt a language in primary school find it easier to cope with the demands of learning a foreign language at secondary school, even if it is a different one. In addition, learning a second language could boost the children’s confidence and self-esteem, as it offers an opportunity for them to teach their parents and siblings or impress their family and friends. At the Club, the children are offered the chance to meet weekly with a native qualified teacher and learn basic Spanish through songs, games and fun activities. Parents can sign up by emailing sylviadiazmar@googlemail.com £

French Club

Salut! My name is Rachel and I have been a licensee for La Jolie Ronde (www.lajolieronde.co.uk) for over 16 years offering fun and engaging French language sessions to children here at F&B before and after school and in the local community. The children are given the opportunity to learn French in a relaxed environment through songs, games, role plays, stories, and other creative activities which will benefit them through their academic journey. Parents can sign up by emailing rachelpovey560@btinternet.com £

Choir

Our choir, run by Mrs Curtis, provides a space for pupils that love singing to develop their singing and ensemble skills. It is free and open to all Year 2 pupils and is run before school on a weekly basis. This opportunity supplements and enhances the wider, communal singing in school, as well as provide an ensemble which represents the excellence of the school internally and externally. Parents can sign up via the Arbor app.

Our Premier Extended  Clubs provide families with a flexible and trusted childcare solution that runs all year round. More than just after-school care, these sessions are designed to support children's development through a wide variety of fun, inclusive, and engaging activities.

Through our PLAY Active approach, children are encouraged to join in structured games and creative play that emphasise enjoyment, confidence-building, and social interaction—rather than focusing solely on traditional sports or competition.

With pupil voice at the heart of what we do, children help shape their experience, leading to increased engagement and enjoyment. During each session, they’ll develop key life skills such as:

• Balance, agility, and coordination

Dance

Step into the spotlight with our Dance Club! Calling Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 pupils to groove and move like never before! Explore the essence of ballet, hip-hop, jazz, and more while boosting confidence and making friends. Just the fun and let's dance our hearts out!. Happy Hearts Club

A safe space where pupils, at lunchtime, can take part in quiet, reflective and focused activities including yoga, mindful colouring and construction. Creating a space to calm the mind during lunch times.

Timetables Rock Stars

A weekly club for pupils who enjoy or would like to practise their mathematical skills: exploring number bonds and timetables. They practise and use their skills by playing games and ‘battle’ others, including teachers

Gardening Club

During the Summer and Autumn term, we are very fortunate to have Mr and Mrs Rider, local volunteers who come each week to support, inspire and teach our pupils about the importance of gardening. This club runs on Tuesdays at lunchtime and is free and does not need parents to book. Pupils simply choose if they wish to attend.
