The Fawbert & Barnard Infants' School are pleased to be able to offer you 30 free hours of childcare per week for a child eligible to receive this provision.
The 30 hours will consist of a full-time place in our Nursery from 8.30am - 3.00pm with a half hour lunch break.
We have a beautiful Nursery in the heart of Sawbridgeworth. We have been able to integrate the Montessori philosophy into all areas of our Early Years curriculum. Our classes are beautifully prepared with a good range of Montessori materials to support children's learning. We have staff trained across our EYFS in integrating the Montessori approach.
Our children are very lucky in that our food provider HCL (see link below) will provide a hot lunch every day for a child attending 30 hours. The cost is approximately £2.70 per day (subject to slight change) and you can rest assured that your child has had a healthy and nutritious meal while you are at work. Alternatively, you can provide your child with a packed lunch each day, and we will ensure that this is given to them during a planned Nursery break from 12.00-12.30 each day. We provide free fruit each day as a snack.
Children are eligible to attend our Nursery the term after their 3rd birthday. We have one main intake in September of each year as per our admissions criteria and children admitted after this time will be where spaces are available and where the child meets the age requirements. For example, if your child does not turn 3 until October or November, they could be admitted the following January if the nursery had spaces available, and you meet the criteria.
